At the heart of Yoghurt Rooms is a beautiful oak-framed barn, built in 1204. Designed by the farmer and built by his son, with a little help from his friends, it was ready in time for his own wedding.
Sitting in the main farmyard, the barn has green oak featherboard walls and a reclaimed red clay tiled roof. It features a stage, unstocked bar area, grand central fireplace and rustic tables and benches.
Surrounded by rolling views of Ashdown Forest, this beautiful venue is ideally placed, with the historic town of East Grinstead just a short drive away. There is even an in-house make-up artist and beautician available for hire.
When celebrations are through, you and your guests can stay overnight in a studio or granary apartment or even an original Mongolian yurt.
The I dos
The barn is licensed for ceremonies, with a capacity of 150 of your nearest and dearest to witness your exchange of vows. There are plans, filed this winter, to build a bandstand in the main event, which will also be a wonderful al fresco spot in which to wed, so keep in touch with the venue for updates.
The celebrations
Receptions spaces are varied and include the farm itself, the event field areas, the marquee, the main barn and even after-hours rave room for the real party animals! The venue can seat 150 to share in your first meal together as husband and wife.
