As we finally head towards spring, perhaps you’re now crossing off the days until your 2025 wedding. How is the planning going? Are you pretty much there?

Likewise, perhaps you were presented with a sparkling ring on Valentine’s Day, huge congrats to you too! Let me tell you, you’ve come to the right place. This issue you’ll find our annual catering feature. Let’s face it, food is the way to your guests’ hearts, so it’ll surely be one of the first things to think about. Plus, when the time comes to start thinking about how you’ll look your big-day best, check out our feature over on page 65, where you’ll find a range of top tips on complementing your oh-so special look from beauty and wellness to jewellery and accessories.

Hendall Manor Barns
Hendall Manor Barns is discreetly positioned in the heart of the East Sussex countryside with stunning far-reaching views of the Sussex Downs, and is surrounded by a plethora of beautiful, historical buildings two of which are dedicated to onsite accommodation. If you love the idea of your wedding party being able to stay with you the night before and on the day of your wedding, look no further, as this venue provides a tranquil, secluded spot for you to all be together.
Three gorgeous interconnecting buildings surround a large central courtyard with a lawn and raised terrace for your guests to enjoy. Providing an idyllic backdrop for your photos the Hendall grounds have a picturesque pond complete with its own walkway, an orchard, several fields, private lawns, and beautiful gardens. The main house has a striking arched loggia and a stone gazebo within the garden and lighting including flood lights, dotted around the venue and grounds ensure great opportunities for photos day or night.
Ceremonies for up to 150 guests are held in the Stone Barn. An impressive building, it's almost 100ft in length and arranged on two distinct levels. The upper half provides a large reception area in addition to the entrance and access to the raised south-facing terrace and lawn. The lower level has in-filled mullion windows and doorways set into its rough sandstone walls, a tall, vaulted roof and oak flooring with underfloor heating.
Hendall is a family owned and run venue where attention to detail and building strong relationships with their couples and loved ones, is paramount. The team appreciate how much couples have to organise and provide access to a list of recommended suppliers, guidance when it comes to tried and tested caterers and drink quantity suggestions. Especially since the venue’s no-corkage policy enables you to enjoy sourcing and acquiring your drinks.
