This issue you’ll find our annual catering feature. Let’s face it, food is the way to your guests’ hearts, so it’ll surely be one of the first things to think about. Alfriston Gardens
Award-winning Sussex wedding venue, Alfriston Gardens, is set in the South Downs National Park offering stunning gardens, a beautiful collection of barns, shepherd huts and lodges. With a stylish mix of the historical and contemporary, the venue can seat up to 155 guests, creating a bespoke backdrop for your dream day.
Begin with preparations in the Lavender Lodge, the venue’s tranquil getaway honeymoon cottage, while your guests can choose from the venue’s diverse accommodation offering. From the traditional Oak Lodge, the contemporary Vine Lodge to the rather bohemian shepherds’ huts, all accommodation has been renovated to the highest standard, ensuring guests will be surrounded with stylish features and comfort.
The traditional Century Barn has been extended, complete with up to-date facilities truly offering something old and new. You’ll also find a mezzanine viewing lounge, which provides amazing photographic opportunities of the ceremony. The space can accommodate up to 155 guests during the day.
Oak Lodge is the most intimate space here and can host a smaller ceremony with 50 guests. It has four guest rooms and its very own honeymoon suite, so it can provide an alternative romantic getaway. The beautiful property nestled among the gorgeous gardens is also where breakfast is served. Oak Lodge is an original piece of Alfriston Gardens, the perfect indoor reception option. Kick off your heels, share a glass or two with friends and grab a few stolen moments away from the party.
The venue’s gardens are its pride and joy, carefully designed, planted and maintained to always provide colour and background throughout. Choose a spot and welcome 80 of your loved ones.
Receptions for 155 guests are hosted in the Woodland Barn. With delicious food choices and a well-stocked bar provided by expert catering partners, Black Pepper Hospitality, the venue sure knows how to throw a party! From their little black book of preferred suppliers, the event management team can arrange your style of decor, your choice of music and provide options for any other ideas you might have. Their priority is to ensure that your vision becomes a reality, sending guests home with lasting memories of a truly magical evening.
